Hi, I'm Meg.
based in Southern california
I’m a mom of four boys and the photographer behind Heirloom Nest Photo.
I document families in the in-between moments, the everyday life that feels ordinary now but becomes everything later.
My work is rooted in real connection, not perfection.

Why this matters to me

My love for storytelling started long before photography.
My grandfather used to tell stories about our family — not the milestones, but the small, ordinary moments. The way people gathered. The rhythm of daily life. The details no one thought to document, but everyone remembered.
Those stories stayed with me.
Over time, I realized something simple but powerful:
It’s never the big moments we lose first — it’s the everyday ones we didn’t think to preserve.

How I see families

I don’t believe families need to perform for photographs.
You don’t need a perfect home, matching outfits, or children who sit still and smile on command.
Life is already enough.
My job is to notice what you’re too busy living to see:
the way your child reaches for you,
the rhythm of your everyday routines,
the connection that exists even in the chaos.
That’s what I photograph — honestly, quietly, and as it unfolds.
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
Sessions are calm, relaxed, and guided just enough to let real moments unfold.
I’ll gently direct when needed, but I’m never trying to force perfection. Most of the time, I step back and let your family be together naturally.
The goal is simple:
to create photographs that feel like your life, not a performance of it.

Let’s preserve your story
